A Cestinha De Costura

— Antonio de Castro Alves

NíƒO Quero panteons não quero mármores
Não sonho a Eternidade fria, escura...
Minha glória ideal é o quente abrigo
De uma pequena cesta de costura.

í€ sombra dos terraços florescentes
Entorna a violeta a essência pura:
Flores d'alma recendem mais fragrí¢ncia
Numa pequena cesta de costura.

Batida pelos corvos da procela,
A pomba a era tímida procura:
Pousa minh'alma foragida as asas
Nesta pequena cesta de costura.

Astros que amais a espuma das cascatas!...
Orvalhos que adorais do lírio a alvura!
Dizei se há menos lí¢nguidos arminhos
Nesta pequena cesta de costura.

Nesse ninho de fitas e de rendas...
No perfume sutil da formosura...
Vão meus versos viver de aroma e risos
Entre as flores da cesta de costura.

E quando descuidada mergulhares
Esta mão pequenina, santa e pura,
Possam eles beijar teus níveos dedos
Escondidos na cesta de costura.
